‘Slip Away’ sees Liverpool-born LA-based artist Dan Croll take his music in a new direction. His 2020 album, Grand Plan, settled on a more acoustic-led aesthetic which he has decided to move away from with his upcoming album, Fools. The second single from that upcoming record is a vibrant, joyous track that focuses on that gritty keyboard sound and shuffling drum pattern, while putting his vocals front and centre. He muses on the anxiety and frustration that has come with his move to the US via some instantly memorable hooks. Fools is due for release on May 19th, 2023. -Dan Peeke.
